I received...

What I really intended to say: I received a present from a friend yesterday. Essential Jesus by John Crossan. This is a beautiful book - I'm truly enjoying it so far, and recommend for all who enjoy looking outside our traditional bibles for truths about Jesus, the man, the Jewish peasant from Galilee.

  6. What's a meal plan waiver?

  7. it means I don't have to eat the food in the cafeteria, since it makes me sick. Otherwise I would have had to pay $1200 for food that I cannot eat.

when i was in college (after I figured out the system, aka my sophomore year) I was down to the 5 meals a week plan. i normally ate lunch in the dorm so that worked out swell. That saved me an assload of money. i had a fridge and a microwave and a grocery store down the street. i was set. :)

  10. unfortunately, nessa, my school has this contract with the food provider that says anyone in the dorm must buy at least 175 meals, which works out to roughly 2/day. I was only able to get a waiver because of a medical condition, they even make vegetarians and vegans eat over there. they just prepare different horrible food.
