stuff is dependent on other stuff.

For example, the likelihood of me getting laundry done is dependent on the quality of Lily's naps and/or whether or not we have any Boohbah on the TiVo. The likelihood of me ever getting any again is dependent upon same. How are we ever going to have another baby if we never have sex?

Aww...poor Nessa! Trust me, sweetie, life is in perpetual change. In the midst of those first few months post-childbirth, your vantage becomes very narrow. But it will expand again. One day, all things will be possible again. (I know you know this.)

And that's really all it is. It's not that you can't "get some"...just that you currently don't see how. And how sexy is that, anyway? I think that's a contributing factor, because those times to squeeze it in are there, but are you even thinking about "it" in those times?

OK, so at least that's what it was when my munchkins were <2.

you are absolutely right about both the tunnel vision
(baby, baby, baby) and the opportunity being there but not at very appealing times. the problem is, i used to be good to go VERY quickly and now i take some serious warming up. we usually end up just fooling around, but to mutual satisfaction. ;) it's working for now...

I truly know exactly what you mean. For me, it took until Darien was about 4 to start feeling "normal" again. Good news: I'm back on track! The engine revs easily, the transmission isn't sticking anymore, and I don't need too much warm up time!
